The children's improvingly-educational centre has been created in 1990 on the basis of teenage club "Contact". For today the establishment realises additional educational programs of a fizkulturno-sports profile in two directions: improving and sports.

In 2008-2009 results of performances of commands from "Contact" on minifootball show that conditions of the Far North at the competent organisation of uchebno-training process not a hindrance for high achievements in sport. Commands of young sportsmen and the senior young men became champions of Russia, a command of younger young men — the silver prize-winner of superiority of Russia of Region "Ural Mountains-Western Siberia". The Given result is the best for all history of development of children's minifootball on Yamal.

Pupils of section of boxing take part in city, district, inter-regional, All-Russia and international competitions on boxing.

Children's improvingly-educational centre "Contact" is the winner of district reviews-competitions among detsko-youthful clubs of physical preparation (2005–2007), municipal competitions «Sports elite» (2007–2009) in a nomination «Best sports establishment». In 2009 the Center became the winner of municipal competition on reception of monetary encouragement of the best establishments of an additional education of children and the prize-winner of competition on the best educational institution of an additional education of children of Yamal-Nenets autonomous region.
