The Yamal athlete became the prize-winner of the European championship on swimming

The day before in final day of the European championship on swimming on short water the Russian athletes established two records of the world and won nine medals – four gold, four silver and one bronze.

In a final heat of final day of competitions at a distance of 100 m medley swimming two Russians – Vladimir Morozov and the Yamal athlete Sergey Fesikov who occupied as a result the first two steps of a podium headed race. Vladimir Morozov showed result – 51,20 seconds, Sergey Fesikov – 52,23. The third Italian Stephano Pizzamilyo (52,81) finished.

"It is difficult discipline. Some technical moments didn't turn out. Affects and saved up for all days of competitions fatigue, - were told by Sergey Fesikov. – But I am glad that we with Volodya Morozov appeared on the two first steps of a podium".

We will add, as a result in a moneybox of Russians – 22 medals, from which 13 – gold. Thus, Russian national team established an absolute record of the European championships on swimming in the 25-meter pool by quantity of the gold medals won by athletes of one country.
