The new crossing through the river Nadym will be constructed in the shortest terms

[i]"In the spring of 2014 movement has to be organized already on a new crossing" [/i], - such task was put by the First Deputy Governor Alexey Sitnikov. Today in Nadym he held working meeting where with the management of regional administration and district management of road economy I discussed the stage-by-stage plan of placement and operation of a new pontoon and bridge crossing through the river Nadym.

[i] The government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area made the decision on construction of a new crossing through the river Nadym, despite a rigid budgetary situation. "Expenses it, of course, considerable, [/i] - were emphasized by the First Deputy Head of Yamal. – [i] But they are necessary for safety of people" [/i].

The new crossing has to start working in the spring of 2014 and to provide safe transport connection of Nadym and area settlements up to the end of construction of the bridge crossing" [/to i], - Alexey Sitnikov speaks.

According to the director of GKU "Management of Road Economy of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area" Igor Borkun: [i]"… such decision – only true. Operation of an operating pontoon and pavement of a crossing is impossible for several reasons: first, today the design is directly under flights of the bridge under construction, as for motorists, and for builders is inconvenient and unsafe; secondly, designs of a crossing are extremely worn-out – it is possible to repair them indefinitely, but the effect will be minimum. The low water level and active freght traffic was at the bottom of almost absolute wear of the sections, some pontoons almost lie at a river bed. It is economically inexpedient to patch this design even" [/i].

The general extent of a new pontoon and bridge crossing will make 1,5 kilometers, including length of the floating bridge – 406 meters. The crossing becomes 43 links longer than "predecessor", and movement on it will be reversive. It will be built below on a watercourse Nadym, on the left coast – in the area речпорта, on right – with an exit to the road conducting to Old Nadym.

At today's meeting the First Deputy Governor of the district also discussed with colleagues a question of ensuring continuous and reliable work of a crossing during the winter period and during a high water.

In the first decade of December, according to experts, will start working a free ice crossing for vehicles, weighing up to 2,5 tons. Loading capacity will increase gradually, in parallel with works on artificial building of ice.

Operating pontoon design will start dismantling as soon as the ice crossing will earn with loading of 50 tons. According to preliminary data, it can occur in January, 2014.

Crossing construction, arrangement of entrances and prestarting preparation will take about four months.
