Yamaltsa – veterans of the Great Patriotic War went to the Memory trip

Yamaltsa – veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the former minor prisoners of nazi concentration camps, home front workers went to a trip of Memory to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Brest and Kiev. On trips of veterans pupils of cadet classes, medical workers and representatives of department of the international and foreign economic relations of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area accompany.

All participants gather in Moscow today, on May 6. For veterans the extensive program, including visit of the Lenino-Snegiryovsky military and historical museum, wreath-laying is prepared for a grave of the Unknown soldier on Red Square. And already on May 7-8 delegations will go to Brest, Kiev, St. Petersburg for participation in festive actions which will last from May 8 to May 11.

In Brest yamalets will take part in procession to the Memorial complex "Brest Fortress Hero", in solemn meeting and flower-laying. In St. Petersburg - in procession journey of veterans and representatives of the public along Nevsky Avenue from Vosstaniya Square to Palace Square. Festive actions will take place and in Kiev.

Let's note that a main objective of visit of hero towns yamalets – preservation of historical memory of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, maintenance of traditions of a vozdaniye of honor to veterans and the lost participants of war, patriotic education and strengthening of socio-political and ideological unity of society.

Let's remind, trips in memorable front places of hero towns for the Yamal veterans became tradition. The heroes – veterans, home front workers, children of war, veterans in trips of memory of the Victory are defined by councils of veterans of the cities and district areas.
