Experts confirmed that in the southern part of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area ice on the rivers will start in the second half of May, in the north, traditionally, - at the end of June. For elimination of possible emergency situations 450 rescuers will be involved. About 400 units of saving equipment are set ready 146 boats and boats, and also. According to experts, in case of adverse development of a flood situation in areas of flooding there can be four settlements: the cities of Nadym and Tarko-Sal, settlements Urengoy of the Purovsky area and Ovgort of the Shuryshkarsky area, and also about 15 objects of economy and to 135 houses.

For the prevention and elimination of an emergency the plan of antiflood actions is approved; the list of the measures directed on prevention of emergency situations is defined; the complex of actions for protection of the population against the threats connected with passing of a high water is carried out.
