Rope-way through Ob as alternative to the bridge

The first deputy of the governor of Yamal Evgenie Miskevich has told about creation of a pendant passenger rope-way through Ob which building was declared recently by the head of region Dmitry Kobylkin. Now offers on building of such road are on consideration in department of transport and road economy YANAO, predesign calculations are carried out.

The idea of occurrence Rope-way on the Far North, according to Miskevicha, was born as alternative to automobile level of the bridge through Ob (we will remind, the project of the railway bridge has been confirmed only). The cities of Salekhards and Labytnangi are in great need today in an establishment of all-the-year-round transport communication. In turn, available legal and technical bases, and also experience of foreign countries allow to build and maintain rope-ways in regions with the raised wind loading not to the detriment of safety. Besides, technologies of the device of pendant passenger rope-ways are characterized by rather low indicators on metal consumption, power inputs and simple work of control systems.

In the considered project the rope-way is equipped by four bearing ropes, with separate drives for each cabin. Distance between ropes of an order of 4 meters that allows to maintain road practically at extreme wind loadings. New mechanisms can provide speed of movement of cabins to 10 km/s. The rope-way is capable to function till 20 o'clock a day, thus throughput can make to 750 persons at an o'clock.

«This project is considered not only as infrastructural object but also as tourist which is more anywhere in the world isn't present though similar constructions and are available, for example, in high mountains of Argentina or, for example, in Korea where the temperature mode and flaws are comparable to ours. The supplier and the manufacturer of designs of a rope-way is in Holland, we have already carried on with it negotiations. But I think, we won't make the decision only from the point of view of an administrative resource, outline sketches will be exposed on a general review», – Evgenie Miskevich hasn'ted.

In Russia today is more than 120 passenger rope-ways. For comparison, in France similar transport systems of an order 3800, in Austria – 3500, in Switzerland and Italy on 2000, in Germany – 1500, in China – 1200, on as much in Canada and the USA, to Vietnam it is necessary 560 Rope-way, to Ukraine next to Russia – 175. According to the experts, the requirement for rope-ways for Russia makes an order of 200 units.
