New thermometric wells have appeared near the city of Salekhard

Around the cities of Yamal, the network of monitoring the state of permafrost is expanding, which turned out to be not so eternal. Monitoring data will be useful mainly in the construction of roads, buildings, bridges, and will also allow you to predict the stability of the erected structures.



A total of 14 thermometric wells are planned to be drilled this year. Three of them appeared in the last week in the vicinity of Salekhard, four-near Labytnanga-in areas where the temperature of the permafrost was previously monitored.

The same wells as near Salekhard and Labytnanga will start drilling near Novy Urengoy on June 18, there will be seven of them in total.

Complex equipment is lowered into the well.
