Yamal accepted Relay of Paralympic fire

Noyabrsk accepted Relay of Paralympic fire XI of the winter Paralympic Games of "Sochi-2014" in the evening on February 28. The ceremony began at 17 o'clock on a central square at the City administration.

The city of Noyabrsk is the only municipality in the district to which the honourable right to accept Relay of Paralympic fire was provided.

Noyabryanam and to city visitors showed choreographic composition about a legend of Fire which along with other forces of nature always served as object of a worship and honoring at the northern people.

After that the first torch of Relay went to a way on a cervine team. At the same time with a start of motion earned pyrotechnic fountains which were placed into the square before a scene. At this time on screens Relay procession around the city and video topics about its participants was broadcast.



Fire on streets was carried by by more than 50 torch carriers. Among them – the rescuer-diver of the GKU "Yamalspas" November search and rescue group Maxim Berestyany.

In total extent of a route of relay made more than six kilometers.

The finishing torch carrier together with the governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area Dmitry Kobylkin solemnly lit a city bowl then public celebrations began.
