On Yamal to appear "The center of the Arctic tourism"

On Yamal started implementation of the unique project for Russia which provides creation of the polar resort under the name "Center of the Arctic Tourism".

The tourist complex will be constructed near the district capital - Salekhard, on the river bank Ob.

On the area of 750 thousand sq.m will settle down modern hotel on 300 places, 10 country houses of a business class of 500 sq.m. and 30 cottages of the business center. 10 more country houses of VIP-level with mirror walls and a design interior are intended for reception of guests of the highest level.



Also in the territory of the resort numerous restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques and the SPA center will be constructed. Besides, the unique park of ice sculptures, ice bar restaurant, a jacuzzi open-air with hot water and an aquapark with falls, artificial islands and abundance of greens will be presented to attention of guests.

As for active entertainments, tourists will be able to participate in a safari on cervine and dogsleds on the shined route, skiing and the skates, races on snowmobiles, departures on hunting and fishing, visit of settlements of reindeer breeders.

The total cost of the project makes 187,5 million euros (about 7,5 billion rubles), 100 million euros from them are planned to attract from external sources, the others - investments of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area. Opening of a complex is planned for 2015. According to the forecast of experts, even at 50% of fillability of a complex the payback period of the project will make only 8 years.
