Road builders keep a permafrost of Yamal

On a site of building of road Nadym – Salekhard, 1241 km – 1291 km have been made explosion on one of peat open-cast mines (depth of a layer – 4-6 meters). For this purpose experts used two tons of explosives. Explosion is necessary for extraction of the ground used at building of road.

«Peat it is necessary for us much, but it frozen, therefore to take it isn't obviously possible in the mechanized way. We are compelled to resort to explosive works which are norm for work in northern territories. To extract peat in other season it is impossible – the technics sinks. After explosion of an open-cast mine we can receive an order of 50-55 thousand cubic meter of a ground» , - Igor Borkun, the director of Road management JANAO hasn'ted.

Let's remind, now on sites of building of road Nadym – Salekhard is conducted отсыпка an earthen cloth – this kind of works too can be carried out only in the winter with a view of permafrost preservation. Already now on a site of 1241 km – 1291 km throughout more than 43,5 kilometers it is arranged on all height. In plans for 2012 to hand over 10 km of a site in a covering and 40 km in rubble.
