Commercial production of hydrocarbons has started at the Tazovskoye field

In the future, the annual production level will reach 1.7 million tons of oil and 8 billion m3 of gas.



The project will become the core of Gazprom Neft's new production center in the Arctic with a geological potential of over 1 billion tons of oil. The company will invest more than 150 billion rubles in it until 2030.

The launch ceremony was held in the format of a teleconference.

The start of production from the "Tsifergauz" was given by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak and the Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom Neft Alexander Dyukov. The event at Tazovsky was attended by the Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexey Chekunkov and the Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District Dmitry Artyukhov.

The Tazovskoye field is the first oil and gas production field in Russia, the infrastructure of which was created under strict restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
