In the end of November mammoth Ljuba will return to Salekhard.

World famous mammoth Ljuba found in May, 2007 around the river Juribej, is a sensational paleontologic find, conclusive cultural value and has huge value for the world scientific community.

As employees of Muzejno-expocenter of Shemanovsky remind, the Russian and foreign scientists took part in researches mammoth. In January, 2010 preservation mammoth which were spent by experts of Zoological institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St.-Petersburg) is finished.

Mammoth Ljuba is the central exhibit of a mobile exhibition «Mammoths and mastodons: Titans of the Glacial age» which has successfully passed in Muzee Estestvoznanija Filda (Chicago, the State of Illinois, the USA) from February, 5th till September, 5th current year. Since October, 16th the exhibition will continue the work in Jersey City (the State of New Jersey, the USA).

In the end of November mammoth Ljuba will return to Salekhard, in Muzejno-expocenter where becomes the basic exhibit in an exhibition «Time of a mammoth», devoted to the 80 anniversary of Yamal-Nenets autonomous region.
