Tourism in the Russian Arctic is promising

To do this, according to the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin, it is necessary to build runways for small planes and helicopters at airports in the Arctic.



As he noted, "people's interest in traveling to these territories is very important, but for this, the investor must create a transport infrastructure." The corresponding project is being implemented by Norilsk Nickel in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Murmansk Region and Kamchatka.

The growth of interest in northern tourism was also announced by the head of the Ministry of Regional Development Alexey Chekunkov. The number of residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation has already exceeded one hundred, investments in projects amount to more than 231 billion rubles.

80% of residents are representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. Every third project is related to tourism and sports.
